While most people use there own web site as a blog to talk about there lives I'm going to use this section to rant moan and condemn things that really piss me off.In this rant i have chosen to talk about Internet explorer here are my 3 main points (there are many more)
1. Its insecure. since its release there has been over 200 major security holes reported by Microsoft. Many of which have been very severe for instance in august 2004 a exploit was found meaning an attacker could run arbitrary code on the user system with with out any user action
2. Explorer and Windows go hand in hand. Since IE and Windows are so closely connected, a crash of IE will often render Windows unstable and buggy.
Additionally, uninstalling and reinstalling IE is an incredibly difficult task, which is often necessary after it's been destroyed by mal/spyware hacks.
3. Microsoft Doesn't Play Fair. Microsoft believes it to be above all web standards and tends to play by its own rules. Now, this doesn't directly affect you as a user, but for a web developer it means creating a website takes twice as long to make. That means they spend less time making it good and more time just trying to make it work.
